According to Le Parisien, a heartwarming moment took place during the half-time break of the Pays Cassel versus PSG match in the 16th round of the Coupe de France. At 4-0 in favor of the Ligue 1 team, and with a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappé, the game was effectively over. As the players headed towards the locker room, Mbappé took off his jersey and handed it to Alexis Zmijak, the captain of the amateur team.
Zmijak, who is 34 years old and an electrician from Tourcoing, is a member of the Collectif Ultra Paris (CUP) and regularly comes to the Parc des Princes to support PSG. He said after the game, “we will remember the wonderful memories, the PSG players, this stadium… It is special to play against the players we usually support. We tried not to look at them too much.”
The gesture from Mbappé was particularly meaningful as Zmijak is a passionate fan of the Parisian club, despite having no familial ties to the region. He said, “I joined two years ago. I wanted to be among the ultras because for me, football should be experienced with passion. I want to be fully invested, not just watching the match.”

Even though this gesture led to speculation that Mbappé would not play the second half, he did in fact play and completed a five-star performance against the amateur side.
