L’Équipe report that AEK Athens have submitted a contract offer to 31-year-old Franco-Russian midfielder Damien Le Tallec, who is leaving Ligue 1 side Montpellier on a free transfer, principally for family reasons.
Le Tallec is hoping to move to a club closer to Moscow, which is where his family lives, but this has not stopped a Greek-based side to try their luck.
The offer is a 2-year contract with the option to extend by a further 3rd year.
Vladan Milojevic, the club’s manager, has called Le Tallec to try to convince him to join, having worked with him already at Red Star Belgrade.
Le Tallec is still waiting to make a final decision.
