Speaking to Canal Plus on Sunday after his club’s 1-1 draw with Lorient, but aired for the first time tonight. Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas commented on speculation linking Houssem Aouar with a move to Arsenal.

Interviewer: Is it true that Houssem Aouar has agreed terms with Arsenal & that Arsenal have made a bid that is not at the level that you require?

Aulas: There was a timid offer. We felt like either they didn’t consider the fact that this is a player in the French national team. So it was not an offer that was even susceptible to making us consider a sale.

Interviewer: How much are you looking for? €40m, €50m?

Aulas: It is certainly more than the first number that you mentioned.
