Official | Angers re-sign Cheikh N’Doye from Birmingham City

Angers have today have announced the return of midfielder Cheikh N’Doye on a season-loan deal.

The Senegalese midfielder returns to the Stade Raymond Kopa after leaving the Ligue 1 side in July 2017 to move to Birmingham City on a free transfer.

N’Doye made 39 appearances in all competitions for the English Championship side last season and his new loan deal will take him to the end of his existing contract with the Blues, which currently has 12 months to run.

The 32-year-old was recently involved in Senegal’s World Cup campaign, making two substitute appearances for his country in Russia.

N’Doye was an important figure for Angers in his previous two-year spell at the club, occupying the captaincy role in the 2016/17 season that saw the club enjoy a run to the Coupe de France Final, where they ultimately lost to 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.
