According to our colleagues at RMC, 26 year old Japanese right-back Hiroki Sakai will undergo a medical with Marseille on Thursday after agreeing to join OM.

The Japanese international is a free agent after his contract expired with Bundesliga outfit Hannover.

The player has offers from German sides, Championship outfits and Montpellier, but has chosen Marseille.

OM have reached agreements with multiple players but will wait until they have their meeting with the French football financial watchdog the DNCG next week before announcing deals.
