Nail artist Chaun Legend, best known for his work with Kylie Jenner, has outdone himself yet again. This time, the nails in question belong to makeup artist Ariel Tejada, another member of the Jenner glam squad. The style in question is rose quartz, a beauty trend we're thrilled to see back in the spotlight — especially since this year, we could all use the good fortune these crystals reportedly bring.

On Saturday, Legend posted a photo of the gorgeous nails posed appropriately atop a hunk of rose quartz crystal. Even without the crystal nearby, the reference would be totally clear. As you can see below, the nails mimic the white-and-pink shades in the rock, with jagged lines to simulate cut stone. 

Chaun's talent can't be so easily explained via Instagram, but he did share the tools he used to create the look. According to his caption, he used long natural square nail tips by Aprés Nail as his canvas. As for paint, he chose The Gel Bottle's Marshmallow (a sheer pink) and Daisy (a true white). It's pretty impressive that all this depth comes from just two colors.

Nail trends may be changing as fewer of us have access to risk-free manicures, but it's encouraging to see nail artist continue to churn out some of the most innovative, artistic work we've seen in some time.
