John Cena Hosts KCAs, The Rock Wins Awards, Mike Tyson Interview

John Cena hosted the annual Kids’ Choice Awards on Nickelodeon last night for the second consecutive year in a row. Cena promised that a ton of laughs and stars would be in attendance for the event, and he did not disappoint. As is tradition with the hosts of the ceremony each year, Cena was drenched by an onslaught of slime during the event. He also had an elaborate entrance during the show that featured brief cameos from fellow WWE Superstars Nikki and Brie Bella. John Cena also hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards in 2017, but after the reception that he has received as the host this year, it is safe to say that this still may not be the last time that Cena hosts the ceremony.

As mentioned, John Cena took a break from the ring last night when he hosted the annual Kids’ Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. In addition to himself and the Bella Twins, another WWE Superstar made his presence felt during the show. In fact, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson managed to win two different awards during the event last night. Cena and The Rock famously feuded in WWE for years, leading to consecutive matches against each other at WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29, which saw The Rock win the first match while Cena won the next. The Rock was not able to attend the event, but he did accept his awards from the set of a movie.

Before the Kids’ Choice Awards began last night, WWE cameras were rolling and caught up with an old but familiar friend. Before the ceremony, Cathy Kelley interviewed WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson and asked about his thoughts on WWE at the moment. Tyson stated that he still loves WWE and would absolutely love to make an appearance again at some point in the future. Tyson was also asked about the recent signing of Ronda Rousey, to which he said that he is happy and excited to see what she will be able to do in WWE while also claiming that she will be very successful in the world of professional wrestling.
