A Heritage Cup contender’s tournament match is set for next week’s episode of NXT UK.

WWE has announced that Kenny Williams and Oliver Carter will face off in the first round of the Heritage Cup contender’s tournament on NXT UK next Thursday. The winner will advance to face Noam Dar in the semifinals.

The contender’s tournament kicked off with Dar defeating Mark Andrews on last week’s NXT UK. Wolfgang vs. Sam Gradwell and Nathan Frazer vs. Teoman are the first-round matches on the opposite side of the bracket. The winner of the tournament will get a shot at Tyler Bate’s Heritage Cup Championship.

A video package with promos from Williams and Carter aired on today’s NXT UK. Williams said the Heritage Cup is just a way for the old boys to glorify the past when they should be focusing on the here and now. Williams said Carter has a lot of heart — but he lacks sense. Williams vowed to smear the legacy of the Heritage Cup.

Carter said he’s in the tournament to represent his people and people who look like him. He said Williams calls himself “the scum of the earth” and a “cockroach” — and he’ll treat Williams like a cockroach by stomping him into the ground.

Heritage Cup title matches and matches in the contender’s tournament feature British Rounds rules. Bate won the Heritage Cup trophy by defeating A-Kid this May. A-Kid was the inaugural Heritage Cup champion.

Knockout or submission only match: Joe Coffey vs. Rampage Brown
No DQ match: Jinny vs. Aoife Valkyrie (Joseph Conners will be locked in a cage at ringside)
