William Regal kicked off this week’s episode of WWE NXT with a major, groundbreaking announcement. Much like the UK Championship introduced the Universe to the likes of Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Mark Andrews, the brand new NXT North American Championship will look to showcase the greatest superstars of this region.

In order to crown the first ever NXT North American Champion, a six-man ladder match has been announced for NXT Takeover: New Orleans in less than two weeks time. Competing in the bout will be three-time ROH Champion Adam Cole, the Velveteen Dream, the monstrous Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, the debuting EC3 and the high-flying sensation Ricochet!
