Backstage News On Why Numerous WWE NXT Call Ups Took Place This Week

As seen on WWE TV this week, NXT stars Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan all made their WWE main roster debuts. Rose and Deville debuted on Raw alongside Paige, and the rest of the NXT women debuted on Smackdown Live.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Vince McMahon ultimately made the decision to call the women up to the main roster as he feels the current WWE Women’s division is getting stale.

One of the first names mentioned was Mandy Rose, as creative has been pitching ideas for her on the main roster for a while now.

As seen on Raw, Rose and Deville aligned themselves with a returning Paige, and the group ran roughshod on the WWE Women’s roster, even taking aim at Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss.

On the Blue Brand, Riot, Logan and Morgan took out Naomi, and interrupted the Women’s Title match featuring Charlotte Flair vs Natalya.

There has been speculation that with the influx of NXT women on the WWE main roster, a Women’s Royal Rumble match might be in the works, but The Sheet reports they have heard nothing about plans for that match.
