A.J. Styles Thanks Manchester Fans

– As noted, A.J. Styles shockingly defeated Jinder Mahal to be crowned the the WWE Championship on last night’s taped episode of SmackDown Live from Manchester, England. Styles will now advance to Survivor Series on November 19th to face the reigning, defending WWE Universal Champion and “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar.

The Phenomenal One took to Twitter and commented on last night’s fan reaction to his big victory:

“Judging by the reaction in Manchester last night after winning the WWE championship you’d think I was from the UK,” wrote Styles via his official Twitter page. “Truth is, I’ve spent a lot of time in this part of the world and they have always treated me as one of their own. Thank you.”
