Back in May of 2016, El Rey Network taped the third and current season of Lucha Underground, and according to a new report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the future of the Lucha Libre themed show might be looking positive.
The report notes the show might have found a new source of funding, with the caveat being that the show budget might be reduced drastically, as the new money source does not plan to spend as much per episode as the show has been spending in the past three seasons.

Meltzer has upgraded the future of the show from “bleak”, to “better than bleak”. Meltzer added, however, that many of the show’s top stars that he spoke to want out of their deals with the promotion, given the current situation.
