Last year, Enzo Amore defended the Cruiserweight Championship to kickoff WWE’s annual Survivor Series pay-per-view. This year, now finding himself one of the most controversial names associated with the business, Enzo had to sneak his way onto the show hidden inside a hoodie.
I wish we were making this up…
Amore (real name, Eric Arndt) was first spotted by individuals on social media. sitting in the second row with his hoodie tightly drawn around his face. But the former superstar clearly wasn’t there to watch the action unfold.
Shortly after his presence was made known on Twitter, Enzo was tackled to the ground by security and escorted out of the building, after standing on a chair and attempting to cause a scene.
One fan in attendance and close to the incident sent a report in to Wrestlezone, claiming that Enzo “stumbled to his seat and sloppily sat down.” Within minutes security was alerted to the situation and “wrestled him out of his seat,” at which point he jumped to a different row, “tore through like a tornado, bumping into people as he was being escorted out.”
According to Bryan Alverez of F4W, Enzo was taken “downstairs” to meet with Las Angeles police, building security and people from WWE. He was later thrown out of the Staples Center and banned from the arena for life.
