Sources contacted by Get French Football News have revealed that Arsenal midfielder Sambi Lokonga (23) is set to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move to Premier League rivals Crystal Palace. 

Get French Football News previously revealed that AS Monaco had a strong interest in the player, and had made contact with Lokonga regarding a move. However, contrary to Foot Mercato’s report, the Principality club never lodged a bid for Lokonga.  With no incomings expected at the Ligue 1 club, it, therefore, looked as though the Belgian international would remain at the Emirates this window. 

However, he now looks set to move across London to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. The Athletic first revealed that discussions were underway regarding a deal. Sources contacted by Get French Football News can now reveal that the deal will be completed subject to the passing of Lokonga’s medical at Crystal Palace. 

The details of the deal are in the process of being finalised, and the loan isn’t expected to include an option to make the move permanent.
