Finn Balor On Supporting The LGBTQ Community, Possibly Being Universal Champion Again, More

Finn Balor recently spoke with Inside The Ropes at the launch of the new UK Performance Center facility about his WrestleMania 34 entrance and more.

Who he would rather face, The Undertaker or Brock Lesnar:

“Well, I’ve been saying that for years (facing Undertaker). It’s a very hard question, obviously the kid Finn Balor wants to face The Undertaker, and obviously, time is running out, who knows when his last match will be. But with what’s on the line with the Beast, and how long is he going to be around? Honestly, I would take either one.”

On if becoming Universal Champion again is important:

“Not necessarily, I don’t really believe in titles and monikers and stuff like that. I think, influencing people in a positive manner, and that might sound corny but something in me changed when I won the Universal Title. That was my goal my whole career was to try and get there and finally I am holding the title and I’ve already had that feeling of what it’s like to be champion. I made it to the top of the hill. Now I am trying to spread the positive message, we as performer need to use our platform as more good.”

On his LGBTQ entrance at WrestleMania 34:

“That was something I believed in for a very long time and I pitched and pitched to a lot of different departments in WWE and it got shot down and shot down and it wasn’t until Stephanie (McMahon) got wind of it that it started to come into place. You know, it’s easier for the message to come down the line of command than it is to go up. That was something I believed in for a long time and the way it worked out was perfect that it got to happen in the biggest match of my career and sure I had that idea a year before but it would have been on Raw or a house show or something, so to do it at WrestleMania is even cooler.”
