After gaining a gold in the FIVB Club World Championships Trento claimed the 11th victory consecutive in Serie A. This time they beat Sisley Treviso in 3 short sets. They are leading the classification with 32 points.

 

 

 

Before the match players from Trento showed numerous fans (over 4.000) assembled in PalaTrento an iridescent trophy conquered on the Club World Championships in Doha. From Treviso the best were: Alessandro Fei with 15 points and Jiri Kovar (11 points). However, they weren’t able to stop the players of coach Radostin Stoytchev.
Matey Kaziyski said: – Everything was perfect, we didn’t expect to win just in 3 sets, but we were able to stay concentrated during the whole match. Now we have to think about Supercoppa Italiana, a trophy that we have never won. We’re very determinated!

According to the Italian journalists, this Itas is the strongest team of decade. In the season 2010/2011 they claimed 19 victories and only 1 defeat (with Skra Belchatow in Champions League): in Serie A 11 matches won on 11 played, in the Club World Championships 5 won on 5 played and in in the Champions League on 4 played 3 won and 1 lost.
81% of the won games in the last 4 seasons they conquered guided by coach Stoytchev, on 160 matches they won 130 and lost only 30, on 68 games at home they claimed 61 victories and only 7 defeats. These numbers say much. It’s always difficult to compare with the past, especially when we think about the volleyball without a libero, but watching the numbers we can venture to say that Itas Diatec Trentino is the strongest team of the last decade.
