Kevin Owens is still not quite ready to return to the ring from his injuries, but he is getting closer to making his comeback. Owens informed fans last week that he was about one month away from competing again, but he said that he was unsure of which brand he will be placed on. In the meantime, Ringside News reports that Owens has been in the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida helping PC recruits work on their promos. Owens has been at the Orlando facility training for his in-ring return, but he has apparently been giving advice and working with the stars of NXT while he’s been there. Whenever Owens does make his return, the belief is that he will be coming back to WWE programming as a babyface.
Some major drama erupted over the weekend when Amy Polinsky, the wife of WWE commentator Corey Graves, alleged that her husband is having an extramarital affair. According to Polinsky, Graves has been cheating on her with SmackDown wrestler Carmella. Afterwards, Polinsky went on to delete several of the messages that she posted on the matter, and it now appears that she has chosen to delete her entire Instagram account altogether. Ringside News was first to discover that Polinsky’s account is now missing from the social media site. Corey Graves was present at the announcer’s table throughout Elimination Chamber last night, and Carmella teamed up with Naomi in the Elimination Chamber match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships but they did not win the match.
Daniel Bryan may have retained the WWE Championship in the main event of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view last night, but all that fans have been talking about since the show is Kofi Kingston. The match came down to Kingston and Bryan last night, and the former gave one of the best performances of his career during the match. There were numerous close calls and times when it looked like the New Day member would finally win the title after spending eleven years with WWE, but Bryan ultimately prevailed. After the match, WWE uploaded a video with Kingston and his New Day partners Xavier Woods & Big E discussing the outcome of last night’s match. Feel free to check out the video posted down below:
