Barely a month ago, the Indian rupee was Asia’s worst performing currency, but as the general election drew a bit closer, it has now become Asia’s best-performing currency.

How did it happen?

According to reports, the improvement in the performance of rupee is being attributed to two reasons, PM Modi’s reasonably good chances of retaining the power in general elections and the latest tension between India and Pakistan after Pulwama attack.
