Marseille want to extend Sead Kolašinac’s contract

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Marseille are looking to extend wing-back Sead Kolašinac’s contract, with the Bosnian international’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

The former Arsenal man has bounced back from a tough start after his move last January, and a crucial miss in the Champions League group stages against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season. He has proved decisive in front of goal this winter, finding the net against Monaco, Lorient and Toulouse, all the while showing a highing degree of versatility by slotting in both as a left-sided centre-back as well as out on the wing.

Kolašinac is held in particularly high regard by club president Pablo Longoria, and a meeting is due to take place in the near future to work out a contract extension. The player himself is reportedly happy at the club, and is a fan of the atmosphere at the Stade Vélodrome as well as life in the south of France.
