Real Madrid’s 17 year old central midfielder Martin Odegaard will not be joining Rennes, according to Sporting Director Mickaël Silvestre, speaking to RMC.
The reason given was relating to FIFA regulations concerning minors. Odegaard being under the age of 18 apparently means that he cannot be loaned out.
