Polish bronze medalist visited
The game was quite intensive from the beginning. No one could gain any safer lead. Long actions were mixed with failed services, but soon Gonzalez from Tomis Constanta found a way to make a difference and his team went ahead for the second TTO. Michal Kubiak stroke out and it was 19:16 for Tomis. In the second part of this set the game came back to be head-to-head, but this leverage of Romanians turned out to be enough to win this one (25:22).
Jastrzebski interpreted this lost part as a wake up call and they got to work right away. With 5:2 for Polish team, Stoew took a time out. Michal Kubiak earned the 8th point (5:8 on the first TTO of the set number two). Michal Masny added a good service on top of it. Then Tomis worked well on block. Rodriguez had a good moment in attack and service. Jastrzebski Wegiel continued a good game and built a safe wall between them and the hosts. It allowed Poles to carry this lead till the end (19:25).
The third set was a whole different story. Guest of Constanta quickly took matters in their own hands and did not let Tomis come anywhere near. Kubiak had a long series of service and his colleuges kept blocking the opponent. Romanians couldn’t finish their own action. Simon Van de Voorde closed this part.
However, Tomis Constanta did not seem to be very devastated about it. They got back in the game smoothly and with confidence. Jastrzebie began to make mistakes, but again, thanks to service performance of Michal Masny, they climbed back on the top (11:14). Rodriguez scored another point for Tomis, but Polish medalist was on a right way to took three points back home. They did that eventually by winning the whole game 3:1.
