It was reported earlier this week that Rey Mysterio has signed a new two-year deal with WWE and is expected back on WWE programming regularly very soon. As far as when he is expected to compete again is concerned, Ringside News says that the former WWE Champion is set to appear at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia later this year. The report also claims that the company is currently considering having Mysterio face Shinsuke Nakamura at the event. There is no word on whether or not Nakamura’s United States Championship is expected to be on the line during that rumored match. Rey Mysterio vs. Shinsuke Nakamura will reportedly be take placing at WWE’s Crown Jewel show on November 2nd.
The Undisputed Era faction lost Bobby Fish earlier this year due to an injury, but the group is still a dominant force in NXT due to the inclusion of Roderick Strong. Fish went down with a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee earlier this year and has occasionally appeared on NXT programming for promos while on crutches. However, during last night’s NXT tapings in Full Sail University, fans in attendance witnessed Fish get physical for the first time in months. During a match between Undisputed Era members Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong and The War Raiders, Fish ran down to the ring without a crutch or a leg brace and attacked both Rowe and Hanson with a steel chair. It certainly appears as though Bobby Fish is back and will resume wrestling shortly.

Towards the end of the third season, Pentagon Dark was victorious in his match against Prince Puma, which forced Puma to leave Lucha Underground and also saw Pentagon become the new Lucha Underground Champion. Pentagon has continued to hold the championship throughout the ongoing fourth season, but during last night’s episode of the series, a brand new champion was crowned. After defeating King Cuerno and Mil Muertes to retain his title, Marty “The Moth” Martinez cashed in his Gift of the Gods Championship, which required Pentagon to defend his title for a second time on the show. The match saw Chelsea Green make her Lucha Underground debut by helping Martinez win the title.
