NRL teams: Gallen, Waerea-Hargreaves return

Paul Gallen and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will make timely returns for the Sharks and Roosters respectively this weekend.

Gallen has not played since breaking ribs in Cronulla's round three win over the Cowboys but will return for tomorrow night's clash with the Panthers at Pointsbet Stadium.

Fellow Sharks enforcer Andrew Fifita has also been named in the front row, despite some hamstring tightness putting him in doubt earlier this week.

Another big man makes a timely return from a rib injury on Friday night, with Waerea-Hargreaves set to suit up in the Roosters' grand final replay with the Storm.

The star prop has not played since his team's round three win over Parramatta.

There is still no sign of Jake Friend, who is nursing a shoulder complaint.

The Storm welcome Suliasi Vunivalu back into their team, after he missed the 18-12 win over the Cowboys due to suspension.

Across the Tasman, Warriors coach Stephen Kearney has named Blake Green to face the Cowboys after he was a very late withdrawal in the lead up to the loss to the Rabbitohs on the Sunshine Coast.

North Queensland will welcome Scott Bolton back into the fold, having served his suspension for a common assault charge.
