Ligue 1 side Rennes have contacted Premier League champions Chelsea to enquire about the availability of French striker Loïc Rémy, according to L’Équipe.

Chelsea responded that the player was for sale, and Rennes representatives are captivated by the idea of re-invigorating Rémy’s career. The player recently returned from an unsuccessful loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Rennes are also in talks over the possible arrival for Vincent Aboubakar, but the deal seems too difficult to complete at this stage.
