(Spoilers) WWE SmackDown Taping Results For Friday, April 25, 2014

The following are results of this week’s WWE SmackDown, which was taped on Tuesday, April 22nd from Hershey, Pennsylvania and will air on Friday, April 25th on the SyFy Network.

– This week’s show opens up with Vickie Guerrero, Cesaro, Paul Heyman, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter in the ring. There are two podiums set up in the ring as well. Vickie says tonight’s main event will be The Shield taking on 11 other WWE Superstars. Next, she says there will be a “Great Debate” between Heyman and Colter. Colter addresses Cesaro turning his back on him. He asks Heyman why he stole Cesaro from him. Heyman talks about how Brock Lesnar broke Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak, and much like he did on RAW this week, continued to repeat that line over and over again. Colter again asks why he stole Cesaro from him. Heyman asks Colter when the last time a “Zeb Colter Guy” won a match. Heyman says when Cesaro won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX, he was already a “Heyman Guy.” Colter loses his cool, knocks over his podium and then pushes Heyman. The two begin to go at one another, but they are quickly broken apart.

– Cesaro def. Jack Swagger in a one-on-one match. Cesaro picked up the win by hitting Swagger with his Neutralizer finisher for the 1-2-3. After the match, The Shield hit the ring. Roman Reigns hits his Superman Punch on Swagger and then they collectively hit their Triple Powerbomb finisher on him. Dean Ambrose mentions how it looked like Swagger failed to adapt.

– Tamina Snuka def. Natalya in Divas action. This was apparently not the most smooth in-ring action you’ll ever see, complete with Tamina picking up the win after what was described as a botched kick for the pin.

– Backstage, 3MB talks about how all three of them are involved in tonight’s main event, which as mentioned above, will be 11 guys taking on the three members of The Shield. Eventually, The Shield shows up and takes out all three members of 3MB.

– Backstage, Vickie Guerrero is in her office and she’s on the phone with Triple H. HHH asks her about The Shield. She says she tried to call them into her office, but they didn’t show up. He informs her to take the night off, and in walks Brad Maddox.

– Curtis Axel def. Jey Uso in a singles bout. This was basically a filler type of match. Nothing really special in terms of advancing any stories.

– The Wyatt Family comes to the ring. A steel cage is lowered. Bray Wyatt talks about John Cena and eventually sings his “he’s got the whole world in his hands” song. Pretty similar to what we’ve been seeing for the past week or so.

– Luke Harper and Erick Rowan def. Goldust and Cody Rhodes in tag-team action. During the match, Bray Wyatt gets on the mic and asks the crowd if they are unimpressed with what they see from Goldust and Cody Rhodes. He mentions that the Rhodes Brothers are not the future. Rhodes goes for a moonsault, but Goldust bumps into him and screws it up. Goldust gets upset and walks out, much like Rhodes did on RAW this week, however he did so during the match, leaving Rhodes to get beat and pinned, giving The Wyatt Family the victory.

– Backstage, we see Brad Maddox on the phone. The Shield ends up coming into the room and beats him down. Afterwards, Dean Ambrose jumps on Maddox behind a couch and continues to pummel him some more.

– Santino Marella and Emma and Fandango and Layla ends in a no contest when The Shield attacks Fandango. They hit their trademark Triple Powerbomb on him off the stage — through two tables — which prompts the fans in Hershey to break out into a “this is awesome” chant.

– The Shield def. Ryback, Curtis Axel, Bad News Barrett, Alberto Del Rio, Titus O’Neil and Damien Sandow. The Shield cleared the ring early, leaving only Bad News Barrett. He ends up getting out of dodge and runs to the back. Reigns hits Axel with his Superman Punch. Sandow gets blasted with a Spear for the win. They hit both Ryback and O’Neil with a Spear as well. They hit Ryback with their Triple Powerbomb and the show ends with all three members of The Shield standing tall in the ring.
