Speaking at a pre-match press conference today ahead of Marseille’s rescheduled Ligue 1 fixture against Gazelec Ajaccio, club captain Steve Mandanda was asked about his future at the club, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season unless OM can somehow miraculously qualify for the Champions’s League before the campaign is up. Marseille of course currently sit a long way off of that target, in 13th.
Mandanda had the following to say:
“My future? We will have a discussion at the desired moment, at the end of the season. We already have enough concerns like that ahead of speaking about my personal situation… I am not weary, because this is a season that is interesting from a personal point of view, as a captain. I have a lot of things to deal with, to look to. This is an interesting season.”
