By Shaun Best-Rajah.com Reporter
Special In Studio Edition: No Way Out
Hosted By: Todd Grisham
The focus of today’s show was the two top title matches due to take place later tonight at No Way Out.
We start off with a recap of the not so recent Beat the Clock series on Smackdown. Edge and his stable end up beating down Rey Mysterio after Rey wins.
Edge vs Rey Mysterio at the Royal Rumble is joined in progress. Rey hits Edge with a 619 and splash but Vickie Guerrero pulls the referee off of a cover. Rey leapfrogs over Edge who falls into Vickie. Rey delivers a 619 to both but Edge catches Rey coming off the top rope with a spear for the win.
Slam of the Week: Rey makes his first ‘apology’ to Vickie two weeks ago on SmackDown! after giving Edge a 619.
SmackDown! this past week. Vickie accepts Edge’s marriage proposal. Rey says he’s disgusted and asks that Vickie drop the Guerrero name. Edge demands another apology but Rey is through apologizing. Rey hits a 619 on Edge then catches Vickie with a seated senton after Edge moves. As Edge tends to Vickie, Rey smiles on his way to the back.
The focus turns to Raw, the WWE Title and the recent return to action of John Cena.
After we see quick clips of Cena’s domination, injury and surgery we join the Royal Rumble in progress just as Cena is about to come out. Cena wins by FU-ing Triple H out of the ring.
Slam of the Week: Raw three weeks ago. Randy Orton grants John Cena a title match at No Way Out.
Slam of the Week: Raw two weeks ago. During the contract signing, Mark Henry distracts Cena allowing Orton to land an RKO.
We see John Cena defeat Mark Henry in an arm wrestling match then deliver an FU to the Worlds strongest man.
Finally we see John Cena defeat Mark Henry via STFU last week on Raw. Cena then tells Orton he is the hunted and there’s no way out for him (tonight).
Grisham thanks us for watching and Heat ends after a video package plays, plugging the Elimination Chamber. Heat returns to its normal format next weekend.
Quick No Way Out predictions: RANDY ORTON: EDGE: TRIPLE H: UNDERTAKER: CM PUNK: RIC FLAIR
Personally I’ll be pulling for Jeff Hardy later tonight as I think his push should continue. The fans are clearly behind him and he’s the hottest act in WWE. Throwing him in the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania is not good enough in my view. Finally, my thoughts go out to Rey Mysterio after his latest injury setback. Get well soon Rey.
Enjoy No Way Out later tonight. The card has been loaded. See you next Sunday for Heat. Shaun.
