The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic continues on tonight’s all new episode of WWE NXT, kicking off live on the USA Network at 8:00PM ET, as the black-and-yellow brand continues on the road towards NXT Takeover: Portland.

The first of two big tournament matches will see the “Brusierweight” and the “Bro” team up in something of an unorthodox dream team, as Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle take on the NXT UK brand’s Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.

The second tournament match will close out the first round, as one of the last two decade’s greatest high-flying stars Alex Shelley reunites the Time Splitters with beloved tag team partner KUSHIDA. The former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions will be square off against the Grizzled Young Veterans, Zack Gibson and James Drake.

Also announced, as previously reported, is a #1 contender’s battle royal that will decide Rhea Ripley’s challenger to the NXT Women’s Championship at next month’s NXT Takeover: Portland special. The bout will see the return of Mercedes Martinez, new talents like Shotzi Blackheart, as well as the majority of the brand’s female roster.
