According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna OGC Nice are meeting with Mauricio Pochettino today, as Lucien Favre’s job is starting to look in danger following poor results on his return to the Côte d’Azur club. Nicer reportedly starting to sound out the coaching market.

The now former Paris Saint-Germain coach is of interest to the club with the 50-year-old is expected to meet with Nice’s management on Tuesday.

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed the departure of Mauricio Pochettino in July after a year and a half in charge, the Argentine ending his contract with the club one season early.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager arrived midway through the 2020/21 season, and despite a dramatic Champions League exit to Real Madrid earlier this year he did end his spell in France on a high as PSG wrapped up the Ligue 1 title.

The writing had been on the wall since the end of the season for Pochettino, who was set to be dismissed amid a wholesale change in the club’s upper management in the wake of Kylian Mbappé’s extension and a change in direction for the club’s project.
